How Rebalancing Therapy Helped Ginger Lose Weight and Regain Energy
Updated: Oct 24
At The Johnson Center, we often see patients who feel like they've lost their spark due to fatigue, pain, or imbalances in their bodies. One of our patients, Ginger, experienced this firsthand before starting rebalancing therapy with us. Her journey back to health and vitality is an inspiring reminder of the impact personalized treatment can have.
We’re excited to share Ginger’s story—how she went from feeling drained and overwhelmed to rediscovering her energy, happiness, and zest for life. Ginger’s transformation highlights the power of finding balance and taking control of your health.
Ginger’s Story
An Unbearable Situation
Ginger had been through a lot: chemotherapy, surgeries, and various treatments. Initially, she felt better after the surgeries, but over time, her health deteriorated. She struggled to find doctors who could work together and listen to her concerns. Her condition worsened—her fingernails and toenails were falling off, and as a hairdresser, she found it increasingly difficult to get through the day. She was exhausted, even unable to climb stairs, and felt that her situation had become unbearable.
Despite seeking help from doctors, an acupuncturist, and a chiropractor, she continued to feel terrible—unable to sleep, lacking energy, and feeling like she had lost her former self. A once energetic, "go-go-go" person, Ginger felt she had reached her breaking point, saying “I can't do this anymore. I can't live this way anymore. I've just got to get feeling better.”
Someone Who Would Take Her Seriously
Ginger knew she needed someone who would take her seriously and look at her overall health. After learning about Dr. Barbara Johnson, Ginger felt that she could finally find someone to coordinate her care and identify the root causes of her problems. Finding Dr. Johnson marked the beginning of her journey to regain her health and start feeling better.
“Ginger’s Back!”
Once Ginger began rebalancing therapy at The Johnson Center, she said “I just started feeling immediately better.” While others commented on her weight loss, they also remarked on how much better she seemed to feel overall, with her face reflecting this renewed vitality.
As her happiness and well-being returned, friends who knew her before would say, "Ginger's back!”. She realized that her body had been out of balance for a long time, but Dr. Johnson helped her find the equilibrium she had been seeking.
An Amazing Transformation
Before the therapy, Ginger had been feeling exhausted. Her workouts suffered, and even simple tasks like yard work became overwhelming. By the end of each day, she felt completely drained, a stark contrast to her previously high-energy self. She couldn’t believe how fatigued she had become, and her sleep was disrupted due to pain and inflammation. Now, she feels as if she’s 20 years younger, amazed by the transformation.
Ginger’s favorite form of self-care is spending time outside, particularly working in her yard and tending to her flower beds. Throughout the spring and summer, she looks forward to doing these activities with her grandson, kicking a ball, and enjoying time outdoors. Being outside centers her and makes her feel better when she goes back inside.
For Ginger, aging gracefully means staying active and capable, despite the natural changes that come with age. She wants to continue doing the things she loves and maintain a youthful appearance compared to others her age. Most importantly, she is happy in her body again. Her husband often tells people, "It's so good to have the old Ginger back," and she wholeheartedly agrees—she's glad to feel like herself again.
What is Rebalancing Therapy?
Rebalancing Therapy is a distinctive method developed at the Johnson Center for Health that employs a holistic approach to accurately identify the underlying causes of medical concerns. This approach aims to restore cellular balance and rejuvenate both body and brain, thereby promoting lasting health and well-being.
The Rebalancing Method is based on 5 fundamental pillars of health and well-being:
Medical: This pillar involves a thorough analysis of genomic and epigenetic risks, hormonal health, and strategies for risk reduction.
Exercise/Movement: Implementing optimal levels of exercise, mobility, flexibility, and movement tailored to individual needs.
Nutrition: Providing data-driven dietary recommendations, supplement advice, and promoting healthy eating habits and frequencies.
Environment: Strategies to optimize the interaction between the body and its environment, minimizing toxins and maximizing beneficial signals.
Wellbeing: Addressing emotional health, meditation, gratitude, life purpose, and community engagement for a balanced life.
Our multidisciplinary team will work to educate you about each pillar, helping you to discover root problems and find solutions to find and maintain balance by supporting your body’s inherent healing capacity.
At The Johnson Center for Health, our focus extends beyond treating symptoms. We use the latest scientific methodologies and testing to uncover and address your body’s imbalances which are responsible for your symptoms. Rebalancing Therapy serves as a cornerstone for restoring the cellular and hormonal balance that is needed for you to function at optimal capacity.
